Bradford Commercial Roof Cleaning Case Study
I-Clean were approached at the start of 2024 by a client in Bradford who was seeking a commercial roof clean so that essential maintenance and repairs could take place on the roof. This all needed to be completed in time for a VIP visit to the building for a potential customer.
Upon discussion with the client, it was decided that the whole external cladded roof required a deep clean with a pressure washing machine for the best results. Once the work was quoted for and the client agreed we got stuck into preparing for the project as we knew it needed to be a quick turnaround.
Preparing for the Project
Luckily, due to the commercial property being on private land no traffic management needed to be arranged in advance. Our team knew they were going to access the property easily which made it more realistic for us to meet the customer’s short time scale requirements.
The Process That Took Place
Two of our experienced operatives were sent to the commercial property in Bradford, alongside a groundsman whose responsibility it was to move the exclusion zone on the ground as the team moved around the building. Our team was onsite from 8am until 5pm for 4 consecutive days to ensure the deadline of the project was met.
As part of this commercial roof cleaning in Bradford,I-Clean used hot pressure wash and detergent scrub to clean the external cladded roof panels. The team also utilised extendible lances to provide additional outreach from the truck mounted platform basket. This allowed the team to clean the whole of the roof without additional access requirements.
TFR detergent was used to remove the more stubborn areas of dirt and grime on the roof. Due to the length of time from the previous clean of this area the operatives did have to go over some areas 2-3 times to ensure a high-standard was achieved.
End Results of the Project
Our efforts resulted in the cladded roof being restored to its once clean white state. All moss and algae build up was removed to reveal any damage that had built up over time and reduce the chances of further damage going unnoticed. The client was very happy with the results of the project because it not only looked noticeably more clean, but it also was completed in time for the VIP visit.
