We were thrilled to be contacted by BBC Look North and Children in Need for a special charity window clean at 1 Whitehall Riverside, Leeds. And boy, did we step up to the challenge!
TV presenter Amy Garcia joined our team for a sponsored job swap as she took part in a high-level window clean. Our very own senior account manager and army veteran, Paul Caden, was the perfect guide for Amy. With over 40 years of experience, he showed her the ropes of window cleaning from a truck-mounted platform.
Our teams showcased their expertise using traditional methods like squeegees and applicators, as well as modern techniques like reach and wash. Amy was amazed at how our professionals effortlessly reached the highest windows while always staying safe on the fixed platform. With a versatile and outstanding range of truck and tracked mounted access platforms readily available to us, we complete these projects day in day out across the UK.
Meanwhile, our Blade Access operator diligently ensured the team’s safety at height. The BBC crew was left in awe of our machinery and the level of expertise on display.
On the ground, Blade Traffic Management played a crucial role in maintaining safe access and egress from the building. They meticulously planned a perfect exclusion zone to ensure the safety and confidence from the public whilst working directly above the main entrance walkway to the building.
The Blade Group truly offers a complete package and is 100% committed to its staff and every project we undertake. We couldn’t have asked for a better day, and even the Great British weather showed its support for this great cause!
A huge thank you to Terry Barker for allowing us to use your spectacular building for this incredible event. We are truly grateful!
